Anyone know how the Merchant Fleet card works in Catan Cities & Knights?

When you use merchant fleet, you can choose any 1 resource or commodity to maritime trade 2:1 to anything else that turn. Effectively a one-time 2:1 port for a resource/commodity of your choice. Different from merchant in that merchant can carry over to different turns but can only be used on resources and can be overtaken by another player.
