Understanding of ELO from 2 games

I had 2 games back to back which confuses me why the ELO changed the way they did... it's these 2 games below. In the first game my opponent had an ELO of 136 going in and beat me with an ELO of 174 and my opponent only gained 11. In the second game i had a similar ELO to my opponent in the first game at 134 and beat someone with an ELO of 85 and gained 26 ELO. It doesnt' make sense to me that given almost the exact same ELO, in one game someone beat a better opponent and gained 11 but in the second game a worse opponent was beat but I gained 26. If anything I would have expected the opposite. It also seems like I lost too many points of ELO in the first game but gained too many in the second game.

Opponent - 136 ELO (win) +11
