Playing in real time: Friendly mode, no time limit. We're in the first round and the game is 40% complete.

My opponent is no longer online and is not responding to messages - I DON'T HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THIS, LIFE HAPPENS.

I tried switching to turn-based (opponent is offline and didn't see the invitation).

I tried proposing to abandon game collectively (opponent offline, as above).

I cannot concede because we aren't at least 50% complete.

If I quit, will I get a penalty? How do I close this table down?

No. That's one of the points of friendly mode.
