it's easy to see when you have extra space to play cards
but it's impossible to see when you have "negative" space (e.g. you have 10 cards in play but only 9 available slots)
since people take FOREVER to play a long chain of cards (i've seen 15-minute turns), I don't bother to watch, and coming back when it's my turn again I sometimes don't realize that my tableau shrunk from where it was before - until I burn a bonus to increase my available space and nothing happens
I *could* count how many cards i have and compare it to the number on the right, but that's silly.
moving the cards down by 10 pixels and leaving the free-space indicators where they are will probably be sufficient to fix this problem
