Arguing against an unfair ruling?

I've got an infraction on my record for leaving a game (while losing) at the last minute. In fact, on the record for the game, I stated that I was physically being pulled out of the room. I thought I'd have more time, I didn't, and rather than take the 20-rep hit I let the others let me go inactive and bow out gracefully.

Apparently they bitched about it and got me a 100-rep hit instead. Seriously, what did they not get about "the person was trying to drag me off the computer for 10-15 minutes BEFORE I left?". I may whine about being unable to win (against masters and experts) in games, but at least I see a losing game through to the end.

To this end, how do I file a reply to such an infraction?

Hello Agamemnon,

It was the last turn of this 45 minutes Puerto Rico game and you have to understand how frustrated your opponents was. 100-rep hit is rude, but this is only for the next 60 days and your reputation is still positive anyway. BGA would like to have more "big&complex game", and consequently we are to be very strict with our "everyone must stay around the table until the end" policy.

I was in this table, and the problem is not for me that you must absolutely quit the game, but the fact you didn't say anything before write "bye" in the chat and stay online...

Staying online make we must wait for your whole reflexion time before fire you and finish the game (made in less than 1 min...). After that, this last minute don't change anything in the result, but we can not have the associated points for the victory because YOU quit the game before the end. In summary, you have affected my ELO, because I scored 0 on this game.

I have write this report because I think it is a total lack of respect to just say "bye" and leaving, and because we have ended the game in 1min.

No problem to play an other time with you, but just be sure to have time. It is not the first time I have this case, and on a 45mn game, it is very very frustrating to not finish the game and not get points for this game

BS I didn't post that I had to leave 5-10 minutes before I did. Not my fault if you didn't scroll don't to find it, or read it as it came up the chat. If you turn off the sound that indicates a chat message has come up, that's your fault. I understand that there's a lot of mindless crap coming up on that listing, from people moving colonists or the like, but that doesn't mean relevant stuff doesn't come up too.

If you'd like, I can bug the living crap out of players the next time this happens, but that is likely annoying as heck. Having to leave early in 1 of close to 200 game should not lose me 100 rep points. Seriously, look.

I'm going to close this discussion as there is probably nothing more to say. Thank you both for taking the time to expose your views, and keep the door open to play together. Agammemnon is a regular player and I'm pretty sure he's going to recover a very good reputation very soon.
