Players not attacking??

Post by Post569 »

Any thoughts about scenarios where players who should be attacking (historically and heavy board favorite) who just sit back and play a long drawn out card game? It might be smart strategy but it's really boring.
I've played other games where the "attacker" has so many rounds to achieve an objective or must occupy certain territory to win. I understand this would have to be a decision from "up high" but just interested in hearing your opinions? Thanks

It's part of the game. The better scenarios are designed to make this a bad strategy. Sometimes your opponent has bad cards and you should initiate the action if possible. This game will test your patience in many ways.

Agreed.
Do you have any scenario in mind? Exceptions apart, when there is a clear "attacker", if he waits too long, the "defender" has time to create/seize an opportunity to attack and control the tempo of the game.
