Some stats from my previous 1vs1 matches, it would be great if everyone could look these up themselves, but unfortunately they haven’t been collected and organized yet.
So from my 1208 (as beginner) + 1184 (as second) = 2392 rounds:
- round won as the beginner: 915, 75.75% [though against experienced AND good players it is significantly less than 50%!!!]
- round lost as the beginner: 293, 24.25%
- round won as the second: 1047, 88.43%
- round lost as the second: 137, 11.57%
Why is it important at all, what does it add to the game? I could say I really don't know but it is not true: this does show something about the in-game tactics, keep in mind it is somewhat biased. (Of course you have to know my style...
)
Simple observations though I think you know most of them as well:
- the game is unbalanced -- if you are the second you have a much higher chance to win
- if you are the second and covered the 1st two cards then your chances are jumping to 100%! I'm saying this as one who recently lost a round like this: that was my fault!
- don't give up when you are the beginner in a round: what I call "hit'n run" works a lot of times (it is when you go with only 1 symbol, placing wisely), though it may look boring
I hope you can do something with these, at least it is a public info.
