Cooperative highscore

Post by richyfourtytwo »

Inspired by the Highest Score thread here I thought I'd try out how much points 2 players could get when cooperating. I did that now via a hotseat game with myself. I got:

588 + 276 = 864 points.

This was on base game only.

The 588 are less than what others have reported in normal games! (Though I don't know about expansions and not sure if these help or harm.) I surely made a few mistakes, but I think the main reason for the relatively low score was that the 3rd winter came comparatively soon, so I had 30 unused cards, 20 in deck. I only got 2 out of 4 Fallow Deer and 2 out of 3 Ferns - pretty important cards for high scores. So getting to 1000 shouldn't be hard, just would need slightly better play or a bit more luck. Not sure how high one could get. Maybe 1500?

I'll probably try again. If someone else is curious enough to try it, post your results here, so I can be embarrased by my low numbers. Or if anyone wants to try together with me (turn based), just let me know.

Second attempt, with a lot more luck:

894 + 420 = 1316 points

3 wolfs, 3 ferns, 3 fallow deer, only 6 unused cards
