Why are the filters on automatic completely ignored sometimes?

Post by Leard »

A few times, I've selected an automatic game with filters in place set to 'I never want to play with', and yet it still connects me to a game that has all of those filters I set this to. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it's very annoying because you then have to convince people to abandon game or just take the karma hit.

it's either a bug, or you are mistaken.

Personally don't use automatic mode. It's pants.

It's definitely a bug then, because I've played multiple games with the filters working perfectly ok, and then just one it decides to ignore.

Are you sure the filters were on when you queued? Most of the time the settings (in manual lobby, at least) are remembered, but sometimes I've noticed the reset for no good reason. This could be happening to you, that you just queue assuming your filters are being remembered from last time, but they've actually been reset... It's probably still a bug (or misfeature), but of a different kind.

I recently had a game of Age of Innovation where I don't know remember if I set Karma restrictions, but after removing a player with 0% Karma I went to red thumb them and found that I had already given them a red thumb sometime in the past. I don't know why they were allowed to join my table in the first place.

When the game started I also noticed it was 1 move/day which I never use, and I did not create the table through the "Play Now" lobby.
