Newbie questions

I have only played on BGA once. I cannot figure out how to trade 4 resources for one (from the supply not with another player). I am not seeing this option come up under Trade? I also thought that if a 7 was rolled then a player with 7 or more resource cards would lose half their cards, but this did not occur on multiple occasions. Am I misunderstanding this rule or does BGA just not do it? Thanks much.

If you would like to do trades with the bank, you need to click the button that says "Maritime Trade".

The robber rule only takes effect if someone has more than 7 cards in their hand. I went through your game log and confirmed that you had exactly 7 cards on two occasions, but no one ever had more.

Note that if you play with the Cities and Knights expansion, building a city wall allows a player to hold an extra 2 cards without having to discard.
