Potential breach

Post by AlexandreB3 »

Hello,
it's the second time in two days there is problem on bga.
Don't you think there are potential breach on the website ?
Maybe it's time to consult professional against these breaches...
On X Group for example...

What kind of problems are you experiencing? Everything works normal for me.

Both yesterday and the day before there were server errors (502 etc.). The existence of an issue yesterday was acknowledged by a banner on the home page stating that penalties accrued during that time would be reversed. The one on Sunday (my time) did not seem to have been caught by BGA (it was a weekend after all), but was talked about in the global chat and clearly visible from the moves/minute metrics.

Maybe you happened not to be on either time or weren't affected by them so you didn't notice. But given how sharply the moves/minute fell off at a time that wasn't off peak, and just as sharply recovered, it can't be said that it only affected a handful of people, even if it may not have affected everyone.

That said, there's nothing user-facing that makes jumping to the conclusion that it was caused by a breach anything but speculation.

That sounds like business as usual to me :D.
It is certainly annoying, but on BGA this happens like once a week or at least it feels like it. I would rather jump to the conclusion that it is time to upgrade the servers again then assume a security breach.

Yesterday might have been people waiting for the new arena season to start creating a temporary pick of connexion.
