Tie in a Tournament

After two rounds for a single elimination Lucky Numbers Tournament, I tied with my opponent but still got eliminated. Is the person who moves on randomized if it is a tie?

Usually in Tournaments, if there is a tie it is awarded to the player who has had a BGA account the longest. It's a stupid system I know
