Divine Chalice but no open space, locked up the turn?

Hi all, in a game of seasons, had a lock up moment, where i played Divine Chalice without having the space for another card to be played, and couldn't figure out how to cancel the play, any tips on this?

Draw 4 , put one of them into play.
Discard the others.
If you do not have enough , discard the card drawn.

If you see the first 4 cards on the common deck it's normal. Cancel the turn could be a great advantage if you know that, for vampiric couronn for exemple.
