Hello everyone, new to this forum but have been active in the r/catan subreddit. I am planning to build an app where you can create groups of friends, add games to those groups that you have played with different scenarios and select the winner. The total scoreboard would be displayed on the main page of the selected group with wins, win rates and various other statistics. You can add temporary users to the group so that not everyone in the group needs to create an account for that as it would mostly be used to track real life games.
To start, I am trying to keep it simple and produce the most minimal and user-friendly application that is simple to use. Basically adding the game would consist of required steps. Who played it, who won and what was the game (checkbox select to combine many Catan variants like Base game + Seafarers + C&K). It would be free as the cost of running it would likely be very low. It would be specific to Catan and Catan only so I can make the best app to do so as there are other alternatives that apply a similar principle of scoring to multiple games therefore losing the ability to specify a played game.
Dont want to give too much away yet, but looking for your advice on necessary features and what would you be looking for in such an app or perhaps there is/was a solution for this already and I should just scrap the idea.
