Festival Scoring?

In scoring the Festival, the rule book for Fromage states "you may score multiple groups of adjacent cheese", but on BGA, above the scoring guide for the Festival, it says "Largest Group" and only tracks the scoring for your largest group of adjacent cheese. I was wondering why the discrepancy here?

If you look closely at the Festival section there is some text above the scoring matrix: "Largest group: x". Where x is the number of cheese in your largest group. So the scoring matrix tracks your largest group

The final scoring will consider all your groups not just your largest. No discrepancy here.

Okay, I'm re-reading the rules, and I think I misunderstood the scoring of this section. You may score multiple groups of adjacent cheese, but each separate section will start over at the beginning of the scoring track. The example in the rulebook is actually quite clear!

In the couple IRL games I've played, we were counting up all of the separate adjacent cheeses as one large scoring group.

I think that sort of makes sense as to why you would highlight that, but also makes it a little misleading on exactly what you're scoring there, as you may be scoring other areas in addition to your largest.
