Enabling expansions?

Hey gang!

I am a premium member and I am wondering how I can play games with their expansions "turned on" if that makes sense. If someone could give me a step-by-step, that would be so very appreciated.

Is there a specific game you have in mind? A few games have their expansions actually created as separate games, but most of the time there are drop-down options when creating a table. also Arena and Automatic player selection do not allow you to explicitly select expansions.

For example , I click on Play Now on the tip of the screen to take me to my favourite games, and i ensure the game selectors are set to Simple Game ( not Arena ) and Manual choice of players. I'll then click on Carcassonne, which opens an are at the top of the screen to create a new table



On the left hand side of the page under Table Configuration are drop downs to turn on and off the various expansions available

For Arena games the choice of what expansions are included is made at the beginning of the season by BGA and you cannot play any other combinatin.

for Automatic tables ( where BGA searched for players intersted in the same game) you cannot explicitly say you want certian expansions, but you /can/ express preferences by clicking the cog that you see on the game card

In the new lobbies (game pages), these options are below where you invite players, choose your speed, etc. They are often dropdowns, but occasionally there's like a clickable picture of the expansion box (eg. see Earth, vs. Earth: Abundance).

Yes, I believe your forum account is separate (sort of) to your normal account (though they're linked).

Okay thank you for the step by step! I think the games I was looking at just don't have expansions yet (Vale of Eternity, Blood rage)
