Hello,
The Ticket to Ride Competitive has a dedicated discord server which you can access by sending me a DM.
We are resuming our 2-player League with promotions and relegations season-to-season from scratch, taking advantage of the positive dynamic created by the TTR tournament organized by @rwain and Days of Wonder.
There is a USA League and Euro League.
The League will start on Feb 22nd. and will end on July 12th. Seeding done according to BGA Ticket to Ride ELO on February 22nd.
The number of matches depend on the number of player registered - 8 to 15 matches total.
* Each match is comprised of 6 games, alternate start.
*1 point per games won, 2 extra points for the match win.
* Top 4 from each group get promoted.
I'll reserve access to players with a 85% Karma minimum.
This is meant to be fun but this is also an organized tournament. You are committing to play the whole League, good communication is a must.
I'll post updates regularly here about the League and any tournaments we plan on organizing.

Deadline 1: 12/04/2025
Deadline 2: 01/06/2025
End: 12/07/2025
a) The league will be played on a timeframe of 20 weeks. Registration will open on January 19th, and close on February 22nd at 20:00 MST (CET -8).
b) There will be two intermediate deadlines at the end of week 7 and of week 14.
c) At the start of the season the TD will give out a schedule of games that HAVE to be played before the first deadline (week 8) and a schedule of games that HAVE to be played before the second deadline (week 16). One player can play all the games as soon as he can but these games have to be played before their particular deadlines.
For a 16-player group a player will have 4 matches that need to be played before the first deadline and other 5 particular matches that have to be played before the second deadline. Of course, if possible, he can play all the matches before the first deadline.
Deadlines are not meant for a generic number of matches. YOU need to play these matches before that deadline.
Schedule of the games will be given at the start of the League season. Players can play games of the last part of the season also at the start but they have to play before the end of the first part at least the games scheduled for the first part of the season.
d) TD decisions to rule unplayed scheduled matches:
TD will rule matches not played at Monday 14.00 European time of a particular deadline (Monday morning to give the full days also to USA based players).
TD will rule total wins, partial wins, double losses etc... according to their analysis of a situation. In case of doubts about who is more at fault, they will rule double loss.
TD will not contact players to help them schedule the games.
TD will consider for the ruling only the info that reached him by PM or was posted in the forum 96 hours before the deadline time (so info reaching him before 14.00 Thursday European time of a particular deadline)
Games scheduled but not played in the last 96 hours will not be valued in the feeling about who was more at fault (you were too close to the deadline). - - - Public attempts to schedule before the last 96 hours will be considered in the ruling.
TD will post rulings in the forum immediately after the deadline and will not comment about them in public. (TD will prepare the rulings before the weekend and will publish only the ones about the games not played in last weekend)
7) Etiquette
Usual rules of etiquette are to be observed (be proactive in your scheduling, congratulate opponent, play at a certain pace). TD will give penalties or disqualifications in case of severe violations of the etiquette.
Players have to post scheduled matches in the dedicated discord channel.
The winner of a match has to report results in the dedicated discord channel.
8) Dropouts and returning players
Players coming back after not playing a season or more will be placed in the lowest division of the League or assigned according to the BGA ELO to a higher division if possible.
In case of dropouts: if one player missed one match, then they will keep their ranking. If he missed more than one match he will be classified last.
The played matches will count for his opponents if he played at least 2/3 of the matches, otherwise all his matches will be discarded entirely. In the first case, the matches not played will be ruled by the TD that will rule them according to the info he has available.
