I cant find anyone to play this game?

I started playing this game at work w some coworkers, I dont own the physical game so I went online
I played some games in the start of my account and now cant find anyone to play
the thing keeps loading and loading saying its searching someone but never get one.

is this normal? do I really have to go premiium to get more players? what a bummer I love this game
and the solo mode is also premium so, I cant basically play

Akropolis shows a waiting time of 15 minutes. This should be long enough to add the bell feature, which helps to find other players. I wonder why it's not there. You could try to fill in a bug report for this feature: https://boardgamearena.com/bugs
