No way to report cheating through mods?

I know we can't name people in these forums - but just to confirm, if I have proof through game logs that someone cheated by colluding with a partner on passing bombs to each other. However there is no category for cheating in the mod reporting system. I just put a thumbs down on them and that's it?

Seems strange when you can get banned or moderated for so many other things, but actively cheating is not one of them.

It's not just about how malicious a behavior is. It's also about how difficult it is for a mod to decide if it actually happened.

There have been cases where cheaters were moderated. But it is rare because it's a lot of effort for the reporting person presenting the evidence and for the mod to evaluate it.

You can get some insight into the problem from what has happened in bridge. Bridge is a card game similar to tichu in that it involves partnerships, hidden information, and that a partnership can gain a huge illegal advantage by sharing their hands with each other, made worse by the fact that there are bridge professionals who are paid to play, and there are online tournaments with significant prestige and even money involved. Bridge has had a big problem with cheating online. In recent years, bridge has made significant progress in detecting cheating online using statistical methods and scanning thousands of hands played by partnerships. However, IMHO, this has involved orders (plural) of magnitude more resources than BGA could devote to a single game on its site, so don't expect any significant progress. Tichu is just not a good game to play online unless you are playing with people you know and trust.
