New arena season

Any chance for next arena season we could just have 5 players rather than 4 players 1 ai the amount of times ive seen races be decided by a 50 50 from them makes the game feel more luck based than strategy imo and has made me not want to play a lot of this season

If you count cards for the legend deck as well, it's not actually a 50/50 as often. Side note, idk if this fact is accurate, but I often get the feeling that the "RNG' is programmed to deal the cards evenly more often than not. The amount of times that the last four regular numbers in my deck were 1-2-3-4...

Still tho I'd prefer a 5th player over the ai everyday cause of th 50 50 but also cause of the other bs things they can do for example on mexico move 10 threw the 7 chicane when it has overheat on it

The waiting time for arena can maybe take some time longer with 5 players. Only players is always more fun, but with 4,less waiting time for real games. And with 1 legend added, there are still 2 cars with adrenaline and thus at least 1 player.

I would agree with you, but am not fully convinced, as wait to start will be longer (as already said) and I feel that third place in a snake draft is disadvantaged, as you never have a chance to pick really good cards (except against beginners).

Just a suggestion , for 0 , 5 and heat cards instead of discard away. Why not let players choose them as well?
Hence it will be choose 3 out of 4 upgrade, 0 , 5 and heat cards.

It is a different play whereby when the garage cards are craps having the option of 0 and 5 benefits in a long run.

As JustAnItch said the legends are not 50/50 at all if you count their cards, but even if you don't, they are not 50/50, they have a 60% chance of going +1/+2 through a corner. There are also plenty of cards (Brakes, Gas Pedal, etc) that will let you guarantee a slipstream from them.

An extra player would mean longer queue times, longer races (more relevant in real-time games, but also would make turn-based drag on), less wins for everyone, and more elo swing if you get lucky/unlucky games.

Ultimately though, 5 player games does usually get suggested each season in the gurus, so it will just depend on if people vote for it (plus if you just play lots of games Sombra, you'll get into gurus and get to vote on it yourself)
