Can't spend a treat on Search is this a bug?

In my current game Iselected Search and rolled 5,5,5,5,4,1,1. There are combinations adding to 8 with this and the game discarded them and passed the turn to my opponent.

What I was expecting is to have the option to spend a treat on a re-roll Idon't have the bos set so am not sure if the rules cover this but I thought there were no limitatoins to spending a treat if you did not like your roll.

Sadly, you are mistaken. What combination of 5, 5, 5, 5, 4, 1, 1 add up to 8? 5+5=10. 5+4=9. 5+1+1=7. You can't get 8 from those!

Sure, you could have done that if you had a treat to spend. You're completely out of treats!
