Time for a new team competition! We start May 4, and play 5 weeks, with the last games on June 1.
We are winning cows and resources during our 6 Nimmt games, to add to our ranches, then during the week, we are selling cows and buying resources to manage our ranches.
Only two players per team, so find a partner! On weeks you are too busy to play, you may recruit anyone to substitute for you. We will play 4 games each Sunday at 7pm UTC. All games will be set to 3 rounds, 5 players/Tactics/Pro, normal speed. The competition is restricted to good and above players.

There are two phases to this competition each week.
Phase 1:
Each Sunday you compete on 6 Nimmt tables to win fence, hay, and 6 different breeds (colors) of cows in your games. Each game the top 3 players will gain 3, 2, and 1 of the specific resource or breed designated for that game.
One player of your team will compete for hay (game 1), white cows (game 2), yellow cows (game 3), and red cows (game 4).
Your other player will compete for fence (game 1), blue cows (game 2), brown cows (game 3), and black cows (game 4).
Teammates will alternate each week which cows and resources you compete for.
Each week when the games are over, two checks will be made. 1) that you have enough hay to feed your herd, and 2) that you have enough fenced land to support your herd. Being short of either will result in loss of cows, which will be explained in phase 2.
How to win
Having the most, or second most, or third most cows of each color will gain your team points. We will determine the leaders of all 6 colors and award points for each of them. The first week, the leader in each color gains 3 points, second place gains 2 point, and third gains 1 point. Each following week these points are increased by 1. There will be a lot of ties for these positions. Teams involved in ties will each get the full amount of points for the given position.
The team scores and herds should be posted by Monday each week. The first team to 66 points wins (It will be 5 weeks).
Phase 2:
Between Monday and Wednesday, teams will make decisions about their ranches: what cows should we sell? should we buy hay or fence?
Each week, the first cow of each color that you sell, gains 1 coin. All additional cows of that color sell for 2 coins. Hay and fence cost 2 coins each. There is no trading between teams.
Fences/land
Your ranch starts with 2 fenced acres. Whenever you get 3 fence, it is automatically converted into a new fenced acre. Each acre can support 1-6 cows. Each additional acre will increase your max capacity by 6 cows. You must have enough fenced acres to support your cows when games are finished on Sunday. If you don't have enough room for your cows, they are eaten by wolves, at a complete loss. The cows lost will be chosen from only newly won cows, the colors you have fewest of. This is the first check mentioned above. 6 fields is the max size of your ranch, all extra fence will be converted to 1 point each.
Hay
You start with 2 hay. Each hay will feed 1-6 cows. When hay feeds your cows, it is consumed. Cows will eat hay immediately when games are finished on Sundays. If your team doesn’t have the hay required, then 1/2 of your “unfed” cows will starve (rounded up). Example: When the games end, you have enough fenced acres for your 10 cows, however you only have 1 hay. So, 6 of your cows are fed, but the other 4 are hungry, you will lose 2 of those 4 to starvation. The color you have fewest of will be chosen (of all cows on the ranch). This is the second check mentioned above.
So try to have enough hay and fenced acres to accommodate all the cows you have, and also the cows you might win on the tables.
It's possible teams may win more cows the first week than they can support. If teams take losses, they will take losses in the colors they have the fewest number of cows.
Teams
Find your own partner. In order to keep the competition balanced, a handicap (points) may be applied to teams at the start. For instance I, (Wreckage) will bring a -10 points to my team. So if I team up with one of our strongest players, we could start the competition with -20 points. Most of our regulars would get -3 or more each, making it fair for "good" players to compete. A committee of 10 top players will be involved in these decisions.
Get a partner you want to make decisions with. Don't worry about handicap and such. We'll work that out.
End of Competition
The competition will take 5 weeks. Hay will be converted to 1 point each.
Your team must have 6 fields by the final week. There is a penalty of -1 points for each fence you are short of that goal.
After the points are awarded for leading positions in all colors, each cow on your ranch will add a point to your final score.
