No DG

Dancing Girl is not fun.

I'm fine with all other artifacts, and "you win" abilities, but I hate DG.
I don't want to play with this card in the pool as I don't enjoy neither games where I dig it nor playing against it.
Just its existence in the 1st deck makes me frustrated.

I offer to soft-ban it in my games.
If you are like me and don't enjoy DG gaming, we can agree not to use its dogma action if drawn.

Just write "No DG" on start, and we can play much more enjoyable games!

I share in your disdain of DG... Some of the time!

I've played games where Dancing Girl randomly pops up when the other player already has 6-7 bulbs showing, and it's an anti-climatic quick finish. Not satisfying because no one really worked for it (compared eg to Holy Grail/Lance where you usually have to dig purposefully).

I've also played some harrowing games that were shaped entirely by Dancing Girl's presence! One player digs it early but has a lead in bulbs, then chooses to keep it displayed for a long time. Really intriguing having one player have to studiously avoid showing bulbs all game, while the other keeps trying to sabotage them into showing them. And the player who keeps DG displayed as a constant menace forfeits the opportunity to use other artefacts/relics! Makes for an interesting balance.

I also played one game where I was being completely destroyed, with severe board disadvantage, but had the ability to rapidly cycle Age 1 artefacts, and I just dug and dug for Dancing Girl as a desperation strategy. Honestly can't remember if I ended up winning or losing that one, but it was fun.

If there was an option to "only let DG be drawn when it's fun" I would click that in a heartbeat

I have now lost two games in short succession to DG, because all my opponent ever did was keep digging age 1 artifacts. It's been said here many times, this card ruins everything this game should be about-melding cards, splaying, scoring, advancing through ages, competing for achievements.. it's usually 500+ rated players that play solely to win on DG, which i find simply pathetic.. it's like playing online chess and using a computer to make the decisions..yes, you've won, but tell me, what is the fun part in that? i guess playing and winning over the board is too hard, huh?

As far as I know, this is the 1st time that the Artefacts + Relics expansion is the Arena format.
It stands so far from the base game, and is so nice complex.
With 1660 played games, I am still far from expert Nebio, with 6980 games !
But I am still learning and I think Dancing Girl is a briliant card.
If you don't like it, play without the Artefacts expansion.
DG is part of the ARtefacts expansion for a reason. The tactic to dig for it, is easy to execute. And there are many ways to get rid of her.
Artefacts are STRONG so dig for them !

I have no problem leaving it out of play, however, I just had a game where the person kept it in their artifacts instead of winning. I tried for three turns to get rid of my light bulbs and was unsuccessful. They didn't play it. I asked them why they are not playing it. They didn't respond. I decided to take the hit and quit the game. It felt like I was being toyed with and I didn't like that even more than I didn't like losing. A half hour later they responded they don't like the card.
