Conceding the Game expected ediquette

Can someone tell me proper ediquette for end of game. I am getting frustrated with people conceding and not finishing the game, because by the last generation, we all know who won or lost. Is it bad form to concede and not let the game finish? I know some games, like Through the Ages, say its proper to concede when you know you have lost--yet also dont allow conceding during that Final Era.

Terraforming Mars is a long engine building game, and while I get it kinda sucks (been there) to have to finish knowing you lost-isnt it just fair to the experience of all players if we do finish the game? It really sucks to not be able to play those cards you were saving up for.

What is the ediquette for Terraforming Mars? When is concedeing the same as quitting? Is it fair to give a thumbs down to players who dont finish the game?

Is there a middle ground where concedeing mid game when you are getting overrun is fair, but last generations you should finish just for good sportsmanship?

I don't care if my opponent concedes even if I have some cool cards left to play. In turn-based, I'm not so invested in any game anyway because sometimes days pass before I get to continue and so I don't have any need to “play out my hand".

I understand how it can be annoying to some, though. If the opponent doesn't want to sit there and watch your sequence go, they could always just pass from the get-go and let you play out your game. Conceding is not really needed.

Time is the most precious commodity in the world, conceding saves times and allows more games to be played. Conceding a losing position should be more commonly practiced. Even if it's just the final sequence, it adds up over your gaming life.

not really regarding passing, you cannot start another game until its ended

In turn based you can start any number of games. You're right that in real time you can't.

In turn based you can start any number of games.

I believe the number of turn-based games you can simultaneously play is limited at the beginning, and it increases as you play and finish some games.
