Rules or Bug in the game programming?

Post by rosstc »

So I just lost a game to what I think is a totally incorrect programming of the rules and came to see what the interpretation is.

My turn - as Meka Dragon I dealt 10 claws as I had an extra dice and rolled 2x! + 5xclaw. I ended my turn.

My opponent starts their turn and uses "Made in a Lab", which reads "At the start of your turn, you may buy 1 power card for 1 less power". They then buy Operation Media which reads "Pull one star for each claw you resolved this turn". The game then proceeds to pull the fame marker 10 spots. My opponent then rolls the dice for their turn (redundantly) and immediately win.

Basically, the Operation Media card used my dice for their turn. The card clearly states "At the start of YOUR TURN", meaning you are using the card on your turn, not your opponents. The second card clearly states "YOU resolved this turn", not your opponent.

In my view:
1) it is was my opponents turn when they used Made in a Lab, not mine
2) my opponent pulls based on what they resolved on their turn using Operation Media, not mine

I believe buying this card at this time should have been pointless as they hadn't rolled at that point, or at the very least they can pull what they roll at the end of their turn.
