Hello.
What I did wrong that I have los this game?
Somehow I end up unable to increase the hear, and it make so weak moves from my opponend to win it. So, on what stage i should change and do something else? standard project temp only?
This is so stupid game, I dont even believe it can exist.
Thanks.

Hi,Dessp.I haven't had time to replay the game, but two of the cards you toook at the start,Open City and Livestock, cannot be played until late in the game, normally. Ecoline is often short of money, and I do not think it can afford to keep 6 money tied up for a long time.

wow crazy game, I never see games like that. Your play was pretty good early on.

You are Ecoline, very strong corp but has a weak economy. Don't stockpile so many cards, they may look good but you need discipline, only take the absolute best. Stay lean and mean. If you got a big lead, rush to end, don't get into a long drawn out game versus someone with a much better economy and ai central.

Lots of mistakes later in the game like industrial microbes on gen 11, soletta gen 12. These are early game cards which need time to work, late game you want points if you are behind or terraform if you are ahead.

A lot of great cheap cards sit in your hand, play your investment loan, you have optimal aerobreaking so play those cheap space events they are basically free, play media archives its free money. Snowball.

Play your standard tech, buy asteroids and get out of the game.

I bought solleta just to have some heat production to be able to terraform. maybe I should buying standard projects instead :(

So, I've been chatting with the OP in this thread.

And I think this was just a bizarre fluke game. Helion opponent was refusing to use heat as HEAT, and the OP just wasn't getting Temperature raising cards or heat production cards.

I checked in at game 13 to take a peek, and the temperature was at -20. WHAT? WITH HELION in the game?? And then when I next checked, the gam was Gen 16 ! And temp was still only 0 degrees!?

Just chalk this one up as random RNG nonsense.

TBF,Helion players often spend their heat as money. I've done it - it's very tempting.

This game was undoubtedly bad luck on the heat cards (If you say so, since I am not watching a gen 16 game), but even then, there is the standard project asteroid button to raise heat, OP also skipped energy prod in the opening hand, which were 3 heat bumps if played gen one. Instead OP doubled down on plant prod and the o2 parameter with his preludes.

If a game goes to gen 16, both players made mistakes, but one player def made the bigger one in letting it go that far.
Helion is not obliged to raise the heat into a loss, esp low rated Helion player will mostly use heat as money no matter what. Thats bad play, but expecting them to raise heat for us and we just ignorie it, is also bad play. Especially after gen 2, when the opponent just did nonsense after nonsense with his heat, OP shouldve seen the writing on the wall with this game and either commit to engine too (with agt and Inventors Guild, which he weirdly enough skipped) or save money to sp out or play energy which rolls over to heat. But buying and playing random cards, which I assume is what happened when you score 139 in 16 gens is not going to cut it.

Just blaming RNG nonense or the Helion opponent who didnt raise heat wont help you, everyone can finish a game of Terraforming Mars alone in less than 16 gens.

I watched part of the game, I would have done the following things differently
1)Would not have kept the open city and instead would have kept peroxide energy. Energy will never be usless, you can convert it into heat and spend it on cities or on car production. An open city is not bad, but considering the cost of energy, it is not so much better than a standard city as to keep it with 4-5 other cards on an ecoline.
2) When playing an ice asteroid, I would put both oceans on plants, taking into account the cashback for landscaping, the loss of only two coins, but in exchange for two plants and a faster ocean walk. In the future, 6 coins will be received for the first three greens instead of 10, so putting the ocean on titanium is a net loss of plants and tempo.
3) I'm not 100% sure, but I would buy the inventors' union, since you have no control over heat, and the enemy can spend it on money, although it's not effective. It will also help to play agt, but you don't need to push for it.
4) I don't understand why you should take the physics center in the draft if the greenhouses with ecozone are much better. The enemy is unlikely to play energy producing scientific cards for in the near future, because we have research, and it is too expensive for agt as a tag.
5) I would not buy a medlaboratory -it's too slow
6) I don't think it was worth buying advanced microorganisms- we don't have much production money and we need it for research, but it was definitely worth playing it in the 5th generation by selling something, for example medlab

I can't watch the rest of the game right now, I'll update it if I watch it.

I deserve a medal for watching that entire thing. Best moment is Helion playing Power Infrastructure, respect. He got no time to wait a gen to get those power credits
