Moving Fighters With Carrier

I can't move a carrier from a planet. It keeps saying "Only 3 fighter squadrons by carrier".

There is one carrier and 4 groups of fighters (3 squadrons each) on the planet hex.

Is this an interface issues? Do I use click, shift click or control click to attach one of the 3 squadron groups to the carrier after selecting the carrier? None seem to work.

I think I figured it out. I had to click on the fighter groups until only one with 3 fighter squadrons was not gray. I guess all 4 groups were trying to be on the carrier?
