[PAID PROJECT] Seeking experienced BGA developer for Skirmish

Post by elliot317 »

Hi everyone!

We are looking for a BGA developer for our game coming this year.

🎮 About the game:

Skirmish: Battle for Draconia (2025) – is a fast-paced tactical battle game where text-free card abilities guarantee instant accessibility for newcomers. It is designed for 2-player duels, 3-player free battles, and 2v2 team fights. Each player commands one of six unique fantasy factions, utilizing custom decks to outmaneuver opponents in explosive duels, free-for-all clashes, or team warfare. With gameplay lasting 30 to 45 minutes and dynamic card-driven combat, it’s ideal for strategy enthusiasts seeking quick tactical encounters.

✅ What we already have:
Game rules and player aids (in English)
All graphic assets, UI elements, icons, and boards.
A dedicated game developer from our team is available for daily Q&A and support.
A team ready to provide clear structure, fast feedback, and playtesting.

💼 What we’re offering:
A paid contract – open to project-based or hourly collaboration.
Immediate start – our timeline is flexible, but we want someone who can dive in full-time or with strong availability in the coming weeks or months.

🧠 Who we’re looking for:
Someone with BGA development experience – knowledge of the framework
You must have a portfolio of published games on BGA – please link to them.
Strong PHP and JavaScript skills, attention to gameplay logic, and UI implementation.
A proactive communicator ready to collaborate and iterate quickly with our in-house team.

📅 Timeline:
We want to launch the game on BGA as soon as possible.
The initial goal is to implement:
2-players duel playable with six factions with settlement mode and draft mode.

The project is ready to begin immediately – we’re looking for someone with availability now, ideally with the capacity for full-time or near full-time engagement.

📩 How to apply:
Please send your application either:
via email, or here on the forum

In your message, please include:
Suggested rate
Estimated timeframe for the first milestone (2-players duel with settlement mode and draft mode)
Links to previous BGA implementations

Hi MGoulet,

This is unrelated, but If I am not mistaken, you are the developer for Aquatica.
Do you know when it might be out of Beta? There are only 3 open bug reports, and I think it would be cool if the game were moved out of Beta soon, which I think would enable Arena play?

Developers don’t have control on release in Production. Publisher and BGA should make an agreement when they release the game and if the game will be Premium. I don’t have this information. Arboretum takes 5 months to release for info.
