BGA implementation does not do Revolutionary correctly

Post by nswoll »

BGA currently treats the wizard discarded by the Revolutionary (Void 7) as invisible/discarded to the bottom of the discard (even though visually it's on top).

This is very annoying.

So if a Void 3 (or a Soldier-Void 4) goes against the Revolutionary and loses, that wizard will still be the "top" of the discard and affect the next played wizard - even though visually (and rules-wise) a different card (the one discarded by the Revolutionary) is on top of those cards
And if the Revolutionary discards a Soldier or Void 3 or something else you want on top of discard, it has no effect.

I've been reporting these interactions as bugs, but maybe the coding team thinks that's the correct rule? Even though it is not! Check BGG rules forums or read the rules.

No, according to the rules ( https://www.laboitedejeu.fr/wp-content/ ... -light.pdf ), under the FAQ at the end, "• When does the opponent discard a card because of The Revolutionary? Before they discard the losing Wizard (step 3.1)". So on the discard pile the one discarded by the revolutionary should be underneath the card that the revolutionary beat, and therefore the dormant power in effect is the one of the beaten wizard, not the revolutionary's discard. (If it's visually different from that, that would presumably be a bug, but anyway the effect seems to be correct.)

Ok, I will accept that rule. But the BGA implementation does not do Revolutionary correct then. Because on BGA, the graphics show the card discarded on TOP (after) discarding the losing Wizard. So even if the implementation is coding the effect correctly, it's still visually coding it incorrectly.
