Suggestion: Allow players to pick their characters

In all other co-operative / solo games I've played, there's an option for "random" characters, or "players select characters".
It would be great if we had the same option - I'm conceding so many solo games before the first cards are drawn, because all the starter characters are gathered in one area of the board, so you just know Minas Tirath is going to be taken before anyone can even get there.

The rule book of already finished, so it would require them to issue some sort of post release errata, which seems unlikely.

Also, a few things.
-there are very few character combinations that leave you no early early access to Minas Tirith.
-even the worst combinations of characters (in terms of access to Minas Tirith can generally get someone there on their second turn (assuming you don't luck into one of the few events that can get someone there even faster).
-Minas Tirith is VERY rarely in danger in the early game. I usually ignore it for many rounds, and only come back to it mid game.

You should really try playing some of those combos you think look bad instead of conceding right away, you might just find there are some interesting things you can do with them, and it might help you learn some new strategies that can help with the game overall.

I think it would be good to add the option to choose characters. Though it is possible to play a game with any combination and win, your chances are much more reliant on picking up the right cards.

I think you can play with whatever house rule you want (physical version).

The BGA version will be vanishing soon anyway and miss a lot features which are actually in the game (like more than the same 4 mission cards).
