Unable to make new tournament in championship

I dunno if anyone else has faced this issue, but I used to run private tournaments for my friends in the championship called Chill Zone Champs, and when I look at the tournament pages they do all say that, but when i go to make a new tournament, the option to make a new tournament under the Chill Zone Champs championship isn't there, its just asking me to make a new championship each time

I know there used to be a drop down asking if I was making a new championship or continuing an existing one, but I can't find it anymore

That's a UI change. It used to give you a drop-down of names you previously used. Now you have to enter it each time.

The "championship name" is never used anywhere for anything. It's just the display text for the tournament in the list.

Really, if you create a bunch of similar tournaments, the site should create a leaderboard for you.

Just type 'Chill Zone Champs' in the championship name box each time. It's not like they were ever properly linked up before - it just saved old names you'd used in a drop-down.

I am puzzled about why this change was made. I liked having the "championship" name for a series of tournaments.

Not that this one really affects me (though I did upvote it for you), but it feels like there's a lot of these small changes being made without any mention in release notes or explanation. Perhaps it's a function of the one of the more recent times they asked for feedback, they got 100 pages of negative feedback (which suggests they really just wanted validation, not feedback), but I really don't think just going ahead and making changes without asking or telling your user base why is not the way to deal with that.
