Due to sharing an office with a hardcore Vale enthusiast (BananaHarambe) we often discuss vale, and one of my favourite topics is the flavour and lore. Some cards not being consistent with their theme and game effects etc.
One topic that came up during our fan made expansion was using Zeus as a wind family finisher, but since Boreas has a lightning bolt, Banana stated it feels odd adding another.
This was the spark that started the theory.
Boreas is Zeus.
His absence is odd in the game, as hes one of the most famous mythological gods. Well everyone, hes here. The evidence:
1.Zeus is commonly known to shapeshift throughout the mythology, causing havoc and being a bit of a b*stard. He has infiltrated the wind family as a lesser Greek God.
2.Pegasus later in life became a servant of Zeus.. fetching his lightning bolts for him.... interesting.
3.Zeus is a fan of the ladies, a certain Sylph having great synergy...
4.His main enablers, Phoenix, Pegasus, Hippogriff are all Greek mythological creatures.
5.Hippogriff is a creature with the front half of an eagle and the hind half of a horse... knowing Zeus's hobbies... possible child of Zeus!?
6. Zeus is a b*stard in myth, Boreas is a b*stard in game. This is my strongest evidence.
