Rules...

Post by bergerOUS »

Hi!
Skat is one of the best card games.
But it is not very attractive on BGA.

Some options could make it better.
If it is clear that you'll get all tricks you show your cards and take a shortcut to end the game.

After puting the Skat down you're not able to take the Skat back, rethink and choose other option before you annouce your game. This is not confirm with the rules.

Mostly I'm struggling with the game protocol you can watch every single trick. This is against the rules.

I like to play more Skat here if some things change.

Kind regards

Agreed. Love Skat and BGA but not Skat on BGA. There are many features of the game that could easily be programmed.
-You should not be able to see tricks other than the most recent one.
-You should be able to show your hand when you claim to get the rest of the tricks. This should then trigger the option for other players to accept your claim or reject it and keep playing. Same with revealing your hand partly through a null game.
-You should be allowed to propose conceding the hand if you want to skip playing it out. This will give the non-Schneider points to the opponent. They can reject the proposal if they want to try for schneider or schwartz in a non-null game, and it can be rejected by your partner if they don't agree that it's unwinnable.
-You should be allowed to have an option to "Bid to X".
:geek: just some thoughts
