Catan board set up

I would suggest that the developer for Catan looks at the randomisation of the Catan boards. I played a couple of games now, but the boards are always very similar, sometimes there are only 2 or 3 tiles different from the previous game I played.

You think you see a bug in Catan. I think you're mistaken about it, but if you're confident, then post to the Catan forum (not this one) with some evidence. Two or three games isn't strong evidence, but if you can show that you had, for example, more than 5 games in a row where most of the tiles were the same even though you enabled the randomize options, then that could indicate a problem. So post on the Catan forum and link to those games.

There are multiple setup methods for a Catan board. One is semi-random, which leads to similar looking boards. One is true random, which leads to more variety in boards. In semi-random, the numbers are laid out in a specific order. In true random, the only rule is that 6 and 8 can't be adjacent.

I'm not sure what method the Catan implementation uses here. If you care more, Catan is probably a game better played on other websites.
