Prelude definitely my favorite expansion. I actually like terraforming (vs engine solitaire spam), so I kind of hate 'corporate era' .

Turmoil easily the worst. It only prolongs an already long game.
Best is Prelude/Prelude II for a better setup, followed by Colonies.

1. Prelude/Prelude 2
2. Venus Next
3. Colonies
4. Some Fan/unofficial expansions (e.g., High Orbit)
4. Turmoil

I think Colonies is fun, but I don't look forward to it ever coming to Arena, because 800+ moves of engine gets a bit much. And it feels harder to get back against excellent draws.

My favorite after Prelude (especially P2) is Turmoil. But only with Players who really know the game good enough to not be overwhelmed.

Colonies is also great.

Not to mention the other maps, they are must have.

I also like Venus Next, but since it the changes in gameplay are very small I don’t care soo much about having it or not. I only don’t like to move one Global Parameter as starting player so we don’t do that. Because that makes the game even longer we mostly start with 3 preludes instead of two

I haven’t tried the fan made expansions but it is on my list to order them some time.

Turmoil for me, bc Pristar is a personal favorite, she is a ton of fun. Colony is my least favorite bc without Turmoil its mostly engine. Playing too much of it, it affects my normal game plays.
