Players abusing abandon

I Have seen a couple of times the following:

Players join > game starts > one player "doesn't show up" > remaining 3 players abandon > player who was out instantly joins another game.

So... It seems to me that some players enter the game and, since they don't like their partner, opt to not act and wait for the remaining 3 players to abandon the game, so the game ends without penalty.

Probably, There should be some Kind of penalty for timing out in this particular situations. Not saying It should Be a harsh penalty but some measure to minimize this abuse.

So you want a penalty for cases where players choose to have no penalty?

If the other players want to penalize the offending player, they'd expel/skip instead of abandon.

No. I am suggesting penalties to abusers.

most likely it is because it takes so long to match that if you step away the game can start....and the game is abandoned.

the player who was late makes it back to the desk but the game is forfeited or abandoned already.

I see this a lot, and it happened to me.. I waited 20 mins. .stepped away and i came back and my p forfeited me and i lost 28 pts.

Sometimes, I believe that people join and, due to the time waiting, they forget. But I am Talking about situations where the game is abandoned and as soon as the Table is closed, you join a game and the same player who was away has instantly joined a New game. This is not someone who was "away".
