Ban Sponsor 2 action card aka "gold mine" from arena and ranked play

I searched first for this topic but didn't find anything on it.

Topic title says it all.

I'm frankly getting tired of this card. If it comes up in the action card queue it WILL be picked. And it feels like an abuse of the limited resource mechanics in AN. Putting in time/moves to up income only to be easily equaled or surpassed with a sponsors action from the opponent detracts significantly from the game enjoyment. Sponsors 2 + Silver Lake is completely broken although rarer.

So i just think it should be banned from arena/ranked.

It's definitely strong, but there are other very strong action cards. I have won and lost both with the card and against the card. If you come against it is important to break more than your opponent, similar to playing against an early side entrance. I think banning it is a bit too strong. It is also not an official variant with publisher approval, so I doubt it will happen.

This should be based on a lot of statistics, there is also enough arguments to ban the Eagles or the sunbear since the extra turns are quite over powered.

One part is the approval by the publisher but there are other games that are run in a competitive mode that have banlists. So I wouldn't say it's completely off the grid to have some sort of balance fixes in competitive play in Arena mode for example.
