Antiquities Scoring

Post by StrangeLuck »

Maybe I’m missing something, if not I’ll post in the bugs forum…

I placed 99 in the rightmost space, then my opponent placed 55 right, then 54 left. I finished off the category with 72 left.

Opponent got five points, I got four. Was under the impression that whomever placed the latest card in the right space would get five points? Am
I incorrect?

By clicking at the question mark, '(?)', at a showcase, you see its rule.
On phones: Keep that question mark pushed for several seconds.

The ANTIQUITY showcase is about heaving the oldest objects in that showcase. The oldest year in the right-most card spot determines winning (when you filled both spots).

There is something wrong with the scoring of this . I had year 1999 on right side. Oldest year there can be and lost it. Even if you hover and read scoring it reads wrong. Says. Player with the Oldest year on right side wins 5fp. Then it says the player with the Oldest "gap" between the cards gets 2nd. Similar to the years gap feature. And it scores as if it is the years gap feature.

Oldest means lowest year number, else WW2 (1939-1945) is older than WW1 (1914-1918). If you think there's a bug, use the bug reportîg system instead of forums

@yodamus, you are right about the text error in English. (I now know how to see texts in English (instead of Dutch here) so I checked it.)
The word 'gap' must remove in that text (or replaced by 'year').
It will get updated.

Thanks cwali. Great game. I think I understand now about Oldest and opposed to latest.

Yeah I think the wording should be "earliest" rather than "oldest" to make it less confusing. In that regard, getting the 1900s cards is the best strategy.
