Curious about how everyone plays with the different factions?

I see that this game was released in 2014, but it only recently launched on BGA. So I believe there must be some good advice from veteran players.

General Tips:

1- Prioritize card draw.
2- Disrupt opponent card draw.
3- Try to draw your entire faction deck.
4- If you draw too many action cards early game then turn them into deals.

As for Faction specific strats:

Egypt: The goal is always to play slaver and the two sphinx, then turn each gold to 4 points by building faction.

Roman: The goal is to draw your entire faction deck and play your admins and headquarters first and the rest later.

Barbarian: Build card draw plus raze token production then play your raids and turn 1 card +1 sword to 2 resources plus 2-3 points. Also Dark Chapel and Rabble are very good and stack with your raids.

Japan: Try to build both your Dojos then turn 1 food and one faction card into 1 resource and 2 points by making deals. Its the weakest engine among factions and can be easily disrupted. You have a lot of ways to turn 1 food to 1 point but it won't be enough against strong opponents.

The game is very tactical and every game will be different depending on how you draw, but the goal is always to draw most of your faction deck and play your key engine cards.
