2x after hypnosis not available for own associaton card

Just wondering how the Rules are:
I recently had a game where I was using the opponents upgraded associaton card (3) through hypnosis. I picked a continent and donated. The Donation moved me to a Bonus (2x Marker). But I could not place this marker in my associaton Card. When I clicked it, it landed in the opponents associaton Card. But I could put it on every other Card of mine.
Ist this according to the rules or a bug?

Interesting case, it's probably a bug linked to the recent changes in hypnosis code

on turn 217 (starting to play hypnosis) and around turn 236 (the 2x problem).
Between the turns 236 and 246 I was trying to put the hypnosis on my assiciation but it always ended up on the opponents one. Finally I placed it on sponsors.
