Don’t waste re-rolls

I often find that some players waste the power that is a re-roll. By playing it too early in the game, like in the first rounds when their dice are inconvenient but it’s not a mortal danger. And/or by playing it at the end of a round, when you reroll only 1 or 2 dice. I find it best:
a) to keep the reroll as a last chance to avoid certain death, often in the last round(s) of the fame. b) to reroll at the beginning of a round, when rolling more dice gives you more chance to get what you need. For example, it is the last round and you absolutely need a 5 or a 6 to open the last flap as a copilot but all your dice are 1s and 2s. Keep one low die for the engine and reroll the other three, you’re more likely to get a 5 or 6 with three dice than with one…
Also, when you have a special ability (for example both players can exchange dice), keep that in mind when rerolling. In my previous example, the pilot will also reroll several dice if he doesn’t already have a 5 or 6 that he can give to his copilot.
But, please, the key message is don’t use up reroll unless you absolutely need to, it might save the game in the last round(s)!
