Providing a check box to prevent automated readjusting the zome and range of vision

Post by kaladorn »

I really love this game. So far, it is pretty well done as far I can say.

That saying, I really hate the zoom on all moves. I want to see more of the map *always*. I just end up having to change zoom before I do anything each move and that's pretty frustrating.

I don't care (a lot of time) what another player around me does, but I do care how many slots are ahead of me and where the drivers who've passed me (and where I plan to either catch up to or pass them) and that means having a much larger view - all the time.

So if I can get a check box that means 'I don't want the game to move and center on anything other than what it was when I set it'. No auto movements of my race please!

:0)

I waited so long.... somebody wrote their own server and client to do Formula De games with his buddies. The client can be found, but the server went down and was not saved (as I discovered). Formula D is a great game to play online and having a legit implementation is really wonderful.

I agree. The auto zoom and personal preference view settings need some work in this beta version.

I'm not sure when this was added, but you can disable all the zoom in the options once you start the game. I forget what it's called, but it's there.

I can see an argument for a more animated display of what's happening even though I keep it off.

Not sure when it happened, but I've seen it in the last few weeks and I'm using it (don't move to the next active car, show the whole map). With those, my sanity is much better. ;)

Thanks Devs.
