Why only 3 players in Arena?

Why only 3 players in Arena?

I missed out on being a game guru this last arena period and just now found out that arena went from 4 players to just 3 players. Do people really prefer this player count over 4?

I dont have a real answer.
I would love for more players, but it already takes so much time getting a table started as is. Would love 4 players if more people were playing
