TICKET TO RIDE: MAP COLLECTION

Post by BalGAmor »

You asked for it and we delivered. To enjoy alternative editions of Ticket to Ride, we created the Ticket to Ride: Map Collection.

First, we have Switzerland. It has been here a while but now it is on its own. Embark on a journey through the scenic landscape of Switzerland. This map is a twist to the classic version: shorter and more challenging routes going through the mountains. It brings a tighter but still strategic feel to this classic game.

Then, we have India. Discover the wonders of this massive country, explore its vast regions and go through elaborate and interconnected routes for bonus points. It is vibrant, strategic and delightful.

Finally, you can help us decide which map we should add next: cast your vote and let us know which one you want next!

This stand-alone version comes with its own ELO and Arena points. Get on board this classic, with a twist, here: https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=tickettoridemaps

Alan R. Moon and Days of Wonder do not need any introduction but deserve all of our thanks for letting us add these maps to our platform. And a big thank you to no other than thoun for the BGA adaptation.

This is part of the WINTER OF GAMES 2025 calendar.
This was our Friday release,
There are only a few days to go so take care and play fair…

More TTR is always good.

Typo in the designer's name, Alan Moon.

Swiss was already there. So only india is the new map here ?

I see in the option to create table, there is no option to select random map...

Also, having a game with all map collection... wonder how this goes in arena mode...

There is a typo in the designer's game I believe it should be Moop.

Here is an interview with the game designer, Alan R. Moon, talking about how blocking is part of the game he designed and how he likes to use that strategy. (The blocking discussion starts around time stamp 1:40 or so.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PV3goQNR3D0
He also says that Switzerland is his favorite map.

I'm on your side of this debate, but there is already an extremely lengthy thread about this and having posted this there as well I'm not sure why you felt the need to bring it up here.

Was his favorite map. He has since said that Iberia is his new favorite map. (Source)
