I shouldn't have to turn off my uBlock origin plug in to avoid getting the "Failed to get mandatory argument: from" err

Post by RNAlexander »

I've been using BGA for years and have been a premium user for the last few years. Something in the code of the site was changed in the last few weeks and I started to get tonnes of errors when I played games on the site (mostly Space Base, but other games gave me the error as well.)

There's been a fair bit of buggy behaviour, but the one I get right away is a red banner telling me "Failed to get mandatory argument: from"

It took me a while to suss it out, but turning the filtering on my Ublock Origin plugin on my browser all the way to off made the errors stop. I know that sounds like a solution, but it's really not, and it's giving me a significant concern that the plugin I use to try to maintain some little bit of privacy on the web is suddenly saying that as least some of the functional code of the site shouldn't be downloaded.

Is there anywhere that I can see a history of what changes have been made to the site and which (if any) new 3rd party libraries have been brought in so that I can better judge what risks I'm taking in continuing to use the service I've paid for?

Thanks!

I use uBlock Origin and haven't encountered such errors. Maybe something in your particular settings?

Is there a particular game that this is happening in? Some of the ad blocker methods are not particularly refined and may block files or images based purely on the name.

Adding BGA as a trusted site in your ad blocker should resolve this but this is very likely not the fault of BGA
