Hi all,
Barrage is my favourite game. I have no doubt about that, and the most I enjoy playing it is engine building and the water management.
I play basic and leeghwater, but standard mostly, because I don't like some things of Leeghwater. I don't like buildings, I don't like Netherland and I don't like how Leslie changes the way of play. For me the perfect game should be Basic + External Works. Nothing else. But I'm not going to talk about that now.
I also play Introductory game, because it's a mode of play that the "luck" about what technologies you can get or you manage to get, is not present, and the game is only about engine building and water management. And competitive games with it are amazing.
I usually play it as 4p games and async, but lately I played it at 2p game and live, and I realized of a thing that I haven't been aware off (and it is on the rulebook):
2P game, America + Adler and Germany + McDowell
3P game, we add Italy + Solomon
4p game, we add France + Fiesler
So the introductory games are always with the same distribution, and played continously, they become less playable.
I think it should be easy to implement, but I think the problem should be that it is not in the rules.
How can it be done then? We need some permissions from Cranio or Simone Luciani (or both) to do this? Is there an option?
What do you think?
Thanks for you attention.
