Why does arena matching take *so* *long*?

I've been waiting weeks to get matched with someone for arena. Why does this take so long? Because I'm not premium? Is no one playing? Is there *no one* at my level (around 100 ELO)? I don't get it, but it's frustrating.

In the beginning of this arena season, I was matched repeatedly with the #2 ranked arena player - even he got frustrated by it (got tired of crushing me over and over, I guess). Now, I wait weeks after a game ends for the next game (I start the search immediately).

Other games don't seem to have this problem - is there something that I can do to change it?

Maybe it was my "playing hours" option. I just changed that to "flexible" (I didn't realize options affected arena). We shall see.

Anything that's not flexible would limit your match options. On the other hand, playing hours only affect fast turn-based games (8 moves per day or more), and if you set it to flexible you may end up in a game where you have to make 12 moves between 9pm and 9am...

Thanks. My "moves per day" wasn't flexible either - maybe that was it. I'll change that for next season (too late for this one). Appreciate it....
