Mermaid scoring.

Post by Trevor-UK »

I was playing a game just now and had four cards: two mermaids, and two other cards, each a different colour. By my reading of the rules, that's two points. Each mermaid scoring one point.

But BGA showed this as three points. Where is that third point coming from?

The mermaids also have a colour. With that information I think you can sort it out.

So one mermaid is scoring two point for having two "white cards" in hand, even though it is in itself one of those cards. Wow, it had never occurred to us that the mermaids could score their own colour in this way. We've been playing this in real life for months and would never have read the rules to allow for that.

Thanks.

To add to that, it's important to know that the seahorse is also a white card

That must be in one of the expansions, which we don't have. But thanks, I'll know to look out for it.
