why am i winning more in Dartmoor?

i have recently played a lot of both forest shuffle (35 games) and Dartmoor (25 games) and noticed i won a lot more on dartmoor
i think i played higher rated players on average on normal forest shuffle, but still my winrate on dartmoor was 66 compared to 28 forest shuffle
is it just luck? are players on dartmoor worse? is dartmoor more luck based?

Id say Forest Shuffle is older so players who are still in are more experienced. Dartmoor is newer so players got less experience and its easier to get ahead. My winrate in Dartmoor is also better than in FS.

Id actually say Dartmoor is less luck based than FS because its better balanced, so you will have less abysmal or godly draws.

Please note that Forst Shuffle - Dartmoor only offers 6 colors / suits to work with ( in comparison to 8/10 colors with Forest Shuffle original).
Which is part of the (slightly different) design of this stand alone within the Forest Shuffle universe.

Overall, this makes it easier to collect effects or bonuses, making it more accessible.

For me it’s because dartmoor doesn’t have a overpowered strategy. I win a lot on dartmoor. Regular forest shuffle has the overpowered deer and wolf cards and the beech Martin is also extremely powerful. Dartmoor has some similar concepts but their is a limit to their victory points unlike the beech Martin. The point of scoring lots of points in dartmoor is utilizing several different cards, unlike regular forest shuffle where you can literally win with just deer and trees. And dartmoor doesn’t have that.

For example if you want to score lots of points with the plant strategy you need the blanket bog, and you need at least 5 different plant species as well as the two high scoring plants, but your other plants need to also score high which means you also either need dragonflies or birds and maybe even reptiles.

All the strategies require lots of different cards to win. Original doesn’t you only need deer and trees to win. A strategy that ignores 95 percent of the different cards in the game.
