Just complementing CariPecca's answer. Aside from finishing race points, in races where there was a Qualifying Lap, players will get points from 10 to 1, depending on their position in Qualifying. It makes no difference if all players finished their races, but if at least 2 players abandoned, the result between these players will be given according to their qualifying points.

How is it calculated in case of a tie with team ?
Exemple 2 teams:
First team have 1st and 3rd 1000+600=1600
Second team have 2nd 4rd and 5d: 720+480+400=1600

Why did they go with this score?

I thought no houserules variant were allowed!?? (Atleas everyone have used that as an argument why my ideas for variants isent going top happen)

In the printed rulebook the scores are vert clearly this:
1st - 10p
2nd - 8p
3rd - 6p
4th - 5p
5th - 4p
6th - 3p
7ht - 2p
8th - 1 p
9th - 0p
10ht 0p

To have 2nd 720 (7.2) and makes it totally different.

To be strictly accurate, it’s that the implementations on here must be approved by the publisher. This is often cited as “no house rules” because publishers pretty much don’t do that sort of thing. However, sometimes publishers do agree (or even insist) on differences between the physical game and what is here. For whatever reason, Formula D has a list of such variations as long as your arm and you can see them all on the “rules” page on the BGA wiki: https://en.doc.boardgamearena.com/Gameh ... Variations

Perhaps a dev can speak up as to why these variations are in place but it’s possible not even they know why, just that they were told to do it.

(Worth noting the rulebook says it was published by Play Machines, but these days it’s an Asmodee property, so maybe somebody Asmodee thought these changes made the game better? But I have no ideal)

In case of qualifying lap, sum 10 points for pole, 9 for second and going on, to the 1600 of your example.
In case of no qualy, the team with the winning car wins
